Anti wrinkle treatments are highly effective in enhancing a youthful appearance by reducing or eliminating facial wrinkles.

By targeting underlying facial muscles, treatment can improve our resting appearance by eliminating negative expression lines that can lead us looking unhappy, tired and weary.

Antiwrinkle treatment involves placing small superficial injections into the targeted muscle to temporarily weaken muscle strength and contraction. In doing so we can reduce or stop the movement of the muscle and subsequent overlying skin, which in time minimises the formation of lines and wrinkles.

A common misconception is that wrinkle relaxers ‘Freeze” facial expressions or looks unnatural.

While it is true that we can cause complete relaxation of a muscle and its associated movement if we choose to, it does not mean that this is our only treatment option. At Box Aesthetics we pride ourselves on natural outcomes. ‘Antiwrinkle’ does not have to mean ‘anti-movement’, as we can minimise the impact of wrinkles on the face over time without negatively impacting natural facial expression.

We are all uniquely individual and so is each patient’s bespoke treatment plan, customised towards their aesthetic goals and long-term aging processes.

During consultation, a bespoke treatment plan is developed for each individual patient customised to meet their aesthetic goals and long-term aging processes.

At Box Aesthetic we charge per unit for Botulin toxin, not per area, as we recognise that we all require different doses to align with individual preferences. Paying per area does not reflect individualised treatment dosing and often disadvantages patients that require smaller doses.

We conduct ourselves professionally and ethically and we believe our pricing reflects this.

Treatments costs are discussed during consultation.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT?

Treatment and Consultation for new patients is 1 hour and involves taking detailed history from the patient to determine treatment suitability. Each patient requires a doctors prescription, obtained via telehealth during your appointment. Administering antiwrinkle treatment itself only takes a few minutes. Treatment starts taking effect within 2-5 days post treatment but takes 14 days to take full effect. Follow up appointments are required at 14 days post treatment to assess treatment dose and outcome.

Individual longevity of treatment varies between 3-5 months.

Treatment dosing and pricing depends on size and of areas treated, strength of muscles and desired aesthetic outcome (soft or stronger reduction of movement)

Due to new legislation effective from the 1sy July 2023, we are unable to publish averages of treatment dosing and pricing online. All costs involved are explained during consultation.

Please refer to our FAQ if you require further information on suitability of treatment.

Cosmetic treatments carry risks and may not be suitable for everyone. A consultation is performed prior to every treatment. Cosmetic injectables are invasive medical procedures carrying risks that need to be discussed with a qualified health practitioner. Individual results vary.
